It’s the hottest craze that has been sweeping deviantART’s anthro community. And, being her, Eve had to get in on it.

Meet Shimo (‘frost’ in Japanese), the latest thing to come out of my head. Borne of a love of bolero jackets, sleevelessness, mandarin collars, awesome heels, glasses and naginata (there's more to traditional Japanese weaponry than the katana and shuriken, dangit), she’s a member of Nishikigoi and one of the more prominent females. Not particularly attractive, but smart and fierce, she knows the inner workings of the Osusuki and looks out for its interests. Within the Osusuki, she looks out for the females within the clan, which often brings her into conflict with the Genko family. She’s something of a feminist.

I know the anatomy’s off. Her left shoulder (our right) is too long and too low, and long torso is loooong. I’m not especially pleased with either of the faces, but I cannot be arsed to work any further on this. Oh, and the feet look kinda funky too.

Her deformed hand came to me when I was trying to draw her left hand (originally she only had the vestigial extra digit) and couldn’t get the fourth and fifth fingers to look right. I love it when screwing up actually makes things better.

Also, I am firmly insisting that this counts as original art, even if it is a fan-character.
